The Safety Crew serves behind-the-scenes ensuring the safety and security of everyone during worship and large gatherings. For those with a concealed carry permit, this crew provides a calm, watchful presence.  There is also a non-carry role responsible for contacting authorities in case of an emergency. Ongoing firearm training, and attending safety seminars is essential for this crew. 
If you’re ready to serve in a protective role and have a passion for keeping others safe, this is the crew for you.

The Operations Crew, primarily made up of On-call" volunteers who step in when needed, supports the smooth functioning of Legacy Church. This crew ensures that everything runs efficiently behind the scenes.

We understand that everyone comes to the Home Team with different levels of experience, skills, and availability. While our training roadmap typically spans multiple weeks, we adjust the pace based on whether you’re a quick learner, have prior experience, or we need to fast-track training for an urgent role. We’ll tailor the process to set you up for success.

From Connection Pointe to Forever Family

Positions on the Connections Crew
  • Visitor Follow-Up Reach out to new visitors to thank them for attending, answer any questions, and help them feel welcomed and valued.
  • Connection Pointe Facilitators: Lead new members through Connection Pointe sessions, helping them understand Legacy Church’s mission, vision, and how they can get involved.
  • Connection Liaisons: Work one-on-one with individuals and families to understand their needs, connect them with the right ministries, and help them take their next steps at Legacy.
  • Prayer: Provide prayer support for those in need, both in person and through follow-ups with specific requests shared during services or events.
  • Care, Benevolence, & Visitation: Offer compassionate care to those facing challenges by coordinating visits, providing benevolence support, and being a source of encouragement and hope.
  • Absentee Outreach:​ Reach out to members who have been absent for a few weeks, checking in to see how they’re doing and offering any support they may need.

As this crew restructures, potions will be defined collaboratively to ensure everyone’s strengths and passions are used to make a difference, so these positions may change or evolve.
  • Global Missions Partners: Work with the ministries Legacy supports worldwide, helping determine financial support and coordinating communication with our partners.
  • Mission Trip Organizers: Plan and oversee mission trips, ensuring participants are equipped and prepared to serve effectively while building lasting relationships.
  • Local Outreach Facilitators: Coordinate community service projects and events that meet tangible needs in our local area, creating opportunities to share God’s love.
  • Community Liaisons: Work with local organizations and groups that use our church facilities regularly, such as Bread Coffee House, kids' sports teams, and AA groups, ensuring continued partnership and support.

  • Small Group Strategists: Develop and implement strategies to expand the number of small groups, and encourage people to become a part of a small group and ensuring there are opportunities for everyone to connect, grow, and build relationships.
  • Group Leaders: Lead small groups by facilitating discussion, prayer, and relationship-building. Group leaders guide group members through Bible study, discussions, and accountability, helping them grow in their faith.
  • Group Assistants: Support group leaders by helping with logistics, communication, and assisting with group activities or discussions to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Group Hosts: Open your home (or another location) to host a small group, creating a welcoming environment for group members to gather and connect.

Positions on the Safety Crew
  • Concealed Carry Safety: Carry a concealed firearm and remain vigilant during services and events, ensuring the safety of everyone in the building. These members are trained to respond in emergencies and must have a current concealed carry permit. Attend regular safety seminars and ongoing firearm training to ensure readiness and familiarity with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Non-Carry Safety: Serve as a point of contact for authorities in the event of an emergency. These individuals are background-checked and responsible for staying calm under pressure while ensuring proper action is taken when needed.

Branching Out, Sharing the Story

Positions on the Digital Media Crew
  • Photographers & Videographers: Capture photos and videos during Legacy's gatherings—both small groups and large events—to provide an authentic view of our church community. These photos and videos will be used across social media, the church website, and promotional materials.
  • Editors (Photo & Video): Edit raw photos and videos, ensuring the final content is polished and aligns with Legacy’s branding. This includes cutting footage, adjusting lighting, color correction, and ensuring the media tells the right story for our church community.
  • Content Creators (Selective Role, Requires Interview): Assist in the creative process of digital media content, helping to tell the story of Legacy through visual elements. This role requires an interview and review of skills and previous digital media experience to ensure alignment with the church’s branding and goals.
  • Social Media Contributors (Limited Roles): Assist with managing and contributing to Legacy's social media posts, showcasing church events, community activities, and inspirational moments. While primarily handled by paid staff, this role may expand in the future for the right person(s).

Responsibilities of the Visual Impact Crew
  • Event & Holiday Decor: Design and implement decor for special events, services, and holidays. Create engaging environments that align with the event's theme and help foster a memorable atmosphere.
  • Stage Design & Set-Up: Collaborate with the Worship Crew and other crews to create visually appealing stage designs that enhance the service experience. Your creativity will help shape the look and feel of every service.
  • Photo Ops: Design and implement photo opportunities to encourage engagement and help attendees capture memories of special moments at Legacy.
  • Planning Special Elements: Work on special elements that enhance the overall church experience, such as creating handouts for sermon series, coordinating with local groups (e.g., the high school drum team for a Christmas performance), or collaborating with the Outreach Crew to source or create items for community events and invitations. These elements help connect the church to its community and create a unique experience for every attendee.
  • Collaboration with Other Crews: Partner with the Kids Crew, Student Crew, and other crews to provide design direction for ministry spaces, classrooms, and events. Ensure that the visual elements align with each ministry’s vision and goals.

Responsibilities of the Grounds Crew
  • General Maintenance & Repairs: Keep the church building and grounds in excellent condition by handling minor repairs, maintenance tasks, and organizing larger projects like carpet cleaning or HVAC repairs.
  • Landscaping & Groundskeeping: Maintain the exterior of the church by mowing the lawn, trimming bushes, planting flowers, weeding, and creating a welcoming outdoor environment for everyone.
  • Event Reset: Assist with straightening up and resetting spaces after events, ensuring that Legacy’s interior looks tidy, organized, and ready for the next gathering.
  • Building Maintenance: Take care of basic repairs and improvements throughout the church, including painting, fixing broken equipment, and ensuring everything is in good working order.
  • Facility Organization: Help with the organization and upkeep of supplies and equipment, ensuring that all tools and materials are stored properly for easy access when needed.

Steadfast Support for a Growing Mission

How the Operations Crew Helps
  • Finance Committee & Audit C: Serve to ensure the financial health and integrity of Legacy Church, including helping with budgeting, overseeing finances, and supporting the annual audit process.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with various office tasks such as filing documents, organizing paperwork, and making copies to help the church stay organized and efficient.
  • Crew Management:  When needed, may be assigned to specific crews to assist with administrative tasks such as workflow management in Planning Center, Scheduling, etc.
  • Mailings & Invitations: Help with church-wide mailings, including stuffing envelopes, adding stamps and mailing labels, and assembling special outreach packets to engage with the community and encourage participation in church events.
  • Special Projects: Jump in when needed to assist with special tasks such as organizing events, putting together welcome bags, or preparing materials for services and outreach. These positions can vary based on the church’s immediate needs.
