For many, Christmas is a season of celebration, lights, and togetherness. But for those who are grieving, it can feel like a season of mixed emotions. Memories of lost loved ones may feel closer, and the joy around us can feel hard to connect with. If you’re feeling this way, know that you’re not alone, and it’s okay to feel both sadness and hope.
We are hosting a Grief Workshop on December 15, 2-4p at our Marietta Campus
This workshop includes stories from those who have navigated this difficult season, small group discussions, and a practical guide to help you cope. You can sign-up thru GriefShare HERE. There is a small fee to GriefShare for materials. If you want to attend, but need payment assistance, please email the church office.
In the Christmas story, we see God’s promise of hope fulfilled in Jesus. Born into a world of darkness and pain, Jesus brought a light that no darkness could ever overcome. He came to be with us in all things, even in grief. His presence brings comfort and reminds us that God is close to the brokenhearted.
During this season, remember that God’s love is as close as ever. Jesus came not only for moments of joy but to walk with us through sorrow. Let the light of Christ be your source of comfort and hope, even in the pain, as we look toward the promise of His peace.
